I am a 24 year old, recent college graduate working at Johnson City, TN Medical Center in the Cardiac Cath Lab. I love my job, the adrenaline rush I get when a patient is rushed in having a heart attack and the task of finding the blocked artery and opening it up with a stent is just like that of a big whitetail or long bearded turkey coming into bow range and getting to release the arrow. Not many people can say they have that kind of feeling at their job and God has truly blessed me with it.
Growing up, life was all about sports and to this day I love all kinds of sports. I didn't start hunting until I was about 12 or 13 and killed my first deer when I was 14 years old. I started bow hunting when I was 16 and it has quickly became my passion. Since I started bow hunting there have been very few times you could find me in the woods with a rifle or muzzle loader. The challenge of getting a deer or turkey within bow range and not getting busted is extremely tough and since we started filming with 3B it has become even harder, but that makes me want to do it even more. I have a natural ability to run the camera and film hunts and I have actually had some of my footage on the Outdoor Channel and on Primos' commercials.
I am very fortunate to be a part of 3B Outdoors and feel very privileged in getting to travel all over the country filming and hunting all kinds of critters. I have learned a ton of information about hunting and have gotten a lot better at it. Not many guys my age have been lucky enough to get to hunt with some of the best hunters I know. Deer hunting in Ohio with Jeff Gulley and turkey hunting with Freddie Neeley, Clayton and Fess McDavid have been some of the greatest moments of my life, and also the greatest education lessons I have ever had. Had it not been for turkey hunting with the guys, I would have never called in and killed my first turkey on my own. Those guys are a blast to hunt with, and I love going with them and soaking up all the knowledge they have. I am very thankful for those guys and for teaching me pretty much everything I know about hunting.
