Wanted to drop you a quick line of thanks. I was at your class you gave the other night at
Watson’s (additionally purchased the DVD you made on tightlining as well through the 3B
website).

Today for the first time I went out on Boone to try this tightlining and caught my first two
fish using this technique. Fished mainly chunk rock banks off of points and in landed two
nice SM’s.

Cool stuff….used the Ugly head jig you talked about turns out the same day of the class
at Watsons (earlier that day) I had seen Roger and picked up some of his jigs.

and catches fish.

I finally broke down and got everything I needed to start tight lining this year and man am I
happy! I called Roger and ordered me some of those Ugly Head Jigs and those things
work great! I have caught fish every time I have thrown them so far. Nothing huge, but I
did manage to catch a 4 pound largemouth on it a few weeks ago on Cherokee. I have a
small trip planned the last of this month on Dale Hollow and I cannot wait to use it down
there on some of those huge brown fish.

Thanks for turning me on to the Uglyhead Jigs and Tightlining. Recently moved to East
Tennessee from North Carolina and struggling to catch fish. Fished a tournament on
South Holston and caught a 4 1/2 pound smallmouth tightlining an Uglyhead Jig!
